Experience/PhilosophyI began my investment industry career in 1990 and joined Stifel in 2011.
Often, the most trying times for investors occur at moments of change, such as retirement, divorce, or loss of a spouse. I use a planning-based approach to help clients understand their needs for wealth accumulation as well as distribution. I employ tools and strategies designed to help my clients generate a stream of income from their investments and help them manage expectations and risks in an ever-changing market.
As a portfolio manager in Stifel’s Solutions Program, I manage assets on a risk-adjusted, discretionary basis using a pre-screened investment approach for my clients who choose this discretionary advisory services program. This enables me to quickly react to market conditions when implementing my clients’ investment strategies. The result is customized investment management, with strategies tailored to my clients’ specific needs and objectives. I also have vast experience in analyzing and selecting other managers to help find and select best-in-class additions.
I review Solutions Program portfolios on a regular basis and conduct periodic performance reviews with clients. If market situations require a more tactical approach, I will conduct more frequent reviews with clients.
The Solutions program requires a minimum investment, which varies by strategy. Ask your Financial Advisor for a Disclosure Brochure, which further outlines the fees, services, exclusions, and disclosures associated with this program. Since all investment decisions in a Solutions account are made by the Financial Advisor without having to receive prior client approval, it is important that Solutions clients have detailed knowledge of the Financial Advisor’s individual investment philosophy and decision-making process before entrusting him or her with their portfolio. You should consider all terms and conditions before deciding whether the Solutions Program and any particular strategy are appropriate for your needs.
PersonalI am proud to volunteer with our local Scout Council and am inspired by the young people who we influence, guide, and mentor. As the premier youth-facing organization in the country, Scouts BSA helps to shape tomorrow’s leaders.
I am an Eagle Scout (as is my grown son, and I know my adult daughter could have been as well). I was honored with BSA’s Silver Beaver Award, District Award of Merit, Outstanding Eagle Scout Award, Amethyst Award, and Distinguished Service Star. I was selected to “The Outstanding Young Men of America” and have served on several boards of directors for various local organizations. I feel our blessings are meant to be shared.
